I have recently discovered the pleasures of Pinterest, and have been busy creating boards with all kinds of designs and designers that inspire me — especially pattern and textile design. I also keep old school scrapbooks that I call “inspiration books” where I paste colors, quotes and images that make my creative juices flow. One day I will post some photographs from those books. They are pretty cool. Anyhow, imagine my surprise when I glanced out the window at my neighbor’s house. Their siding is a groovy dirty mustard color, and on top of that was the most fabulous retro pattern reflected from the windows on my building. So mid-century modern, don’t you think? You never know when or where inspiration will strike. And as for Pinterest, you can find me at victoriab:design.
